Ithaca Women’s Wrestling Impresses at Millersville Open

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Ithaca College women's wrestling team competed at the Millersville Open on Sunday, highlighted by Angie Berry's runner-up finish and strong performances from Delaney Bisaillon and Sammi Meyer.

At 124 lbs, Angie Berry opened her day with a win over Angelina Watson (Bethany) before earning a fall in 2:34 against Alexis Haeusler (Alfred State). In the semifinals, Berry secured another pin in just 1:38 over Brenna Ackerman-Gay. She ultimately finished second after dropping her finals bout to Lindsey Rywolt.

Delaney Bisaillon claimed third place at 117 lbs. She started with a dominant 11-1 tech fall over Centenary, which included two takedowns and back points. After suffering her first loss of the season, Bisaillon bounced back impressively, pinning Anastasia Curitti (Waynesburg) and closing the day with a commanding 10-0 tech fall against Madilyn Enterline (Washington & Jefferson).

Sammi Meyer finished fourth at 131 lbs, going 3-2 on the day. Meyer opened with a pin over Anna Sheahan and followed with a 10-0 tech fall against Sky Hernandez, featuring a quick takedown to back points within the first 30 seconds. After falling in the semifinals, Meyer rebounded with a win by fall over Eva Herrera.

The Bombers return to action at the New Standard Invitational, hosted by York College (Pa.) on Saturday, December 6.
