ALBANY — Jasmine Brucato made history on Thursday.
One year after falling in the 100-pound title match at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls Wrestling Championships, she got her redemption.
Brucato finished off a dominant tournament by defeating General Brown’s Zoey Jewett by technical fall 11-0 to win the title. She entered as the top seed in the field, one of three representatives from the Section V championship-winning Alexander/Byron-Bergen/Pembroke/Honeoye Falls-Lima/Le Roy girls wrestling team.
