After 38 years, 199 dual meet wins, coaching three wrestlers to the state tournament, and claiming a team sectional title in 2026, legendary Caledonia-Mumford boys wrestling coach Paul ‘Chip’ Day has decided to head into retirement.
Day was a wrestler himself at Cal-Mum, graduating in 1975. After his son decided they wanted to try wrestling, he got his start in coaching at the youth level, eventually working his way up to varsity.
