He may not have qualified for the New York State Championships yet, but Jaxson Tocco can now officially call himself a Fargo All-American.
The Fairport Red Raiders' rising sophomore lightweight punched his ticket to the podium after receiving a forfeit in the blood round against 2026 Alabama state runner-up Jaxon Lewis.
Earlier in the morning, Tocco opened the day with a dominant 11-0 technical fall over another Alabama standout, Jon Boone, the 2026 state fifth-place finisher.
Since dropping a hard-fought 5-4 decision in his opening-round match to Iowa's Hudson Cox (2026 Iowa state fifth-place finisher, two-time USAW Folkstyle All-American, and 2026 Junior Nationals bronze medalist), the 2026 CHSAA state fourth-place finisher has responded in impressive fashion by winning three consecutive matches to secure All-American honors.
What an incredible breakthrough performance for one of New York's rising young stars.
