Men's Wrestler of the Week - Colton Havens, Cortland
Havens went 4-0 with one pin, two technical falls, and one major decision in winning the 165-pound title at the Lycoming Invitational on Sunday. Wrestling up a weight class, the sophomore opened the day with a victory by major decision and a pin in his first two matches. He then recorded a 24-8 win by technical fall in the semifinals and a 23-6 technical fall victory in the championship match to finish off the day.
Men's Wrestling Rookie of the Week - Jon Schroff, Cortland
Schroff had a strong performance to kick off his collegiate career over the weekend, going 3-0 with two pins and a technical to claim the 174-pound title in the freshman/sophomore division at the Lycoming Invitational on Sunday. The freshman recorded a pin in the second period during the quarterfinals, then followed with an 18-3 win by technical fall in the semifinals. Schroff finished off the day by posting his second pin in the first period of the championship match.
