1949-1950 Alfred-Almond Eagles Wrestling

With Coach Dale Thompson at the helm, A.A. Wrestling team got under way last December. Their schedule included matches with Wellsville, Letchworth, Bath, Canisteo and Bolivar, with return matches with all except Letchworth. Is was hard work all the way for most of them. Those who proved themselves most valuable were undefeated: Bill Ide, Glenn Drumm, George Travis, plus Ronnie Broughton with one defeat. The grapplers are now looking forward to the county playoffs and Rochester. SOURCE: 1950 Alcen.
