1954-1955 Gowanda Panthers

WRESTLING. The Gowanda mat men made an impressive showing in their first year of league competition. Under the direction of Mr. Bareham, the boys won the Class A Championship in the Section VI Tournament at Amherst. The team also took first place in the newly formed Chautauqua County League and won the wrestling tournament held at Falconer. SOURCE: 1955 Valley Bugle.
