For baseball players, there's slow pitch softball leagues. On the gridiron, flag football leagues can fill the void. In many areas a basketball game is as close as the nearest YMCA.
Wrestling, though, is a different story.
No longer.
The first-ever Nunda Old-Timers Wrestling Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, March 6. The event was fittingly formed in memory of Jake Baxter, a former Keshequa wrestler who later became an official. Baxter passed away Aug. 4, 2014 in a hiking accident, but the Keshequa wrestling family is helping to keep his memory alive.
