SALAMANCA — Falconer leads the 27-team field after the opening day of the Southern Tier Wrestling Officials Association Holiday Classic at the Allegany Community Center.

The Golden Falcons scored 80 points, thanks in part to 12 wrestlers reaching this morning's quarterfinals, including a pair at 220 pounds.
