WILLIAMSON, Pa. - The 2017 Battle on the Border was won by New York in convincing fashion.
In fact, it came down to a pair of New York teams atop the team standings, as both Canisteo-Greenwood and Bolivar-Richburg dominated their Pennsylvania competition.
Both New York squads went undefeated, and the tiebreaker for the overall title came down to points. The Redskins had a 279-262 edge to stand alone at the end of the dual meet tournament held in Williamson, Pa.
Canisteo-Greenwood junior Zach Flaitz was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament following a dominant performance. Among other highlights for the Redskins, Christopher Graham won his 100th career varsity match during the tournament.
