SANBORN — As he walked off the mat after last year's Section VI finals, Matt Cicco made a promise to himself. Everything he has done since then has been with one goal in mind: to become a sectional champion.

Cicco, a senior, enters this year's Section VI tournament on Saturday at North Tonawanda as the top-ranked wrestler in the 182-pound weight class. He has lost in two straight sectional finals but is taking all the right steps to make sure the third time is the charm.
