The final match of Lewiston Porter's senior Laith Alsous would be his greatest. Alsous defeated Jacob Morrison of Unatego 2-1 to win the Div II 285 lb. State championship at the Times Union Center in Albany, the lone title for Section Six on the night.
To make it to the finals Alsous had to defeat last year's Div II State champion Andrew Tanner of Adirondack in overtime in the semi-finals.
Hector Colom of Fredonia also made it to the Div II finals dropping a 7-3 decision to Dane Heberlein of Alexander.
