The Marcus Whitman wrestling team finished in fifth place in Saturday's Class BB sectionals, which leads off our roundup of local high school sports.
The Marcus Whitman wrestling team came on Saturday's Class BB sectional meet at Avon with an opportunity to earn a sectional team title, and potentially, even some individual sectional titles.
With three second-place individual finishes and a fifth-place team finish, the Wildcats came up just short of earning any titles, but it wasn't without a fight throughout the day on Saturday.
