SPRINGVILLE—Mikey Evans heads to Albany at a chance to become a state wrestling champion after winning the New York State Public High School Athletic Association's Wrestling Division-II Section VI State Qualifier at 106 pounds Feb. 10 at Lakeshore High School.

After winning the same title last year, but at 99 pounds, the Springville-Griffith freshman will be more comfortable with the venue at Times Union Center the last weekend in February.
