Svingala wrestling brothers look to keep winning at NYS meet

MAPLE HILL, N.Y. >> A pair of winners will again carry the flag of the Maple Hill Wildcats into the Times Union Center this weekend as Section II Division 2 champions, Caleb and Trent Svingala will put their undefeated records on the line.

Junior Trent Svingala (36-0) enters as the defending New York State Public High School Athletic Association champion and is the No. 1 seed at 120 pounds in the Division 2 (small school) tournament. His brother, sophomore Caleb, captured his second Section II title and hopes to improve on his weekend after losing both opening rounds last year at the state tournament.
