ALEXANDER — Nick Young has been training for the moment that's right in front of him the last six years.

Ever since he first put on a Trojans' wrestling singlet — back in the seventh grade — he's envisioned himself standing on the top of the NYS podium.

The Alexander senior will try and turn that ultimate goal into a reality when the state wrestling championships open up today at 10 a.m. at the Times Union Center in Albany.

Young, who placed fifth a year ago, owns an impressive 215-28 career record including 50-3 this year.
