ALBANY — Frankie Gissendanner closed his high school career Saturday in definitive fashion, solidifying his eventual place in the Section V Wrestling Hall of Fame.
The Penfield senior won his fourth state championship, rallying to take the Division I 145-pound final against Shenendehowa junior Kiernan Shanahan, 7-6, at the Times Union Center in Albany.
"I train for moments like that," Gissendanner said. "I get taken down in practice. You just have to keep wrestling."
