ONTARIO CENTER — Multiple local wrestlers from the Finger Lakes placed tops in their respective weight class on Saturday in the Class BBB Section 5 Championships at Wayne Central School.

Brandon MacDonell of Midlakes claimed sole possession of the 126-pound weight class as he won a 6-0 decision over Wayne's Jake Gabriel, helping the Screaming Eagles claim the team championship with 215½ points. Wayne was second with 201 and Palmyra-Macedon third with 184½ — mirroring the way the teams finished during the regular season.
