Carson Alberti became the first Depew/ Cleveland Hill wrestler to win a section title in close to a decade when he recorded a 2-0 decision over Lancaster's Myles Gronowski in the final of the 106-pound weight class at Saturday's Section VI Division I Championships at Starpoint.

The final was a rematch of two earlier meetings between the pair, who are more than familiar with one another as friends and club teammates. Depew/Cleveland Hill coach Mike Lobuzzetta noted that it was Alberti's aggressiveness in the neutral position that helped him persevere in what was a tightly-contest match.
