Legend grapplers take second place at Saturday's Team Dual Championships

NEWS

The Lancaster varsity wrestling team headed into Saturday's Section VI Team Dual Championships as the No. 1 seed, and through the early part of the tournament, the Legends looked the part. However, No. 2 seed and fellow regional power Niagara Wheatfield got past the Legends in the finals after a tiebreaker gave the Falcons a one-point 34-33 win.

Lancaster matched up well against their first two opponents, No. 8 Williamsville North and No. 4 Niagara Falls, and head coach Ron Lorenz said he was generally pleased with how his team wrestled throughout most of the tournament.
