Syracuse, N.Y. - Wrestlers in the 182-pound weight class at this weekend's state championships would do well to keep an eye on Solvay's Tyriq Block.

"I think he's dangerous to anybody in the bracket," said his coach, Paul LeBlanc, himself a former state champion at Morrisville-Eaton.

One thing is sure - the senior who wrestles for the J-D/CBA team never gave up on wrestling. And that perseverance may well help him earn a podium finish Saturday at Albany's Times Union Center.
