Michael Altomer is a sophomore wrestler at Columbia.

Altomer entered the Section II Division I tournament seeded No. 1, but he was pinned in the final by third-seeded Cam Durant (Guilderland).

Altomer garnered the only Division I wild card awarded a Section II wrestler and Saturday finished fifth at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Tournament at Times Union Center.
