Anderson, Cassella notch big victories, Day, DePrez, Doyle put match away
VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton wrestling used three bonus point victories to take down EIWA foe Columbia by a score of 19-16 Friday evening. Sophomore's Ryan Anderson and Brevin Cassella notched triumphs against nationally ranked opponents in the win. Cory Day, Lou DePrez and Joe Doyle won three straight bouts to finish the effort.
"Ryan and Brevin did a great job today, as well as Cory Day winning a must-win match to give us a chance," head coach Kyle Borshoff said. "Our big guys are dangerous and helped finish it off, but I also credit our guys who lost tight matches for this win, most notably Nick Curley who battled a ranked guy. We kept so many matches close and the end result proves that."
