Bearcats end season at BOK Center in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. - Binghamton wrestling wrapped up the 2022-23 season Friday afternoon, as Brevin Cassella, Jacob Nolan and Cory Day all competed at the BOK Center. Nolan earned both of Binghamton's two wins in the consolation bracket to highlight the Bearcats' tournament.

Nolan defeated No. 32 Jha'Quan Anderson of Gardner Webb by major decision (12-1) in the first round of consolations on Thursday. Nolan won his second round consolation match against Virginia's Neil Antrassian by decison, 7-5. Nolan scored first against Antrassion with an early takedown and two-near fall points to take a 4-0 lead. After an Antrassian escape, Nolan extended the lead to 6-1 with another takedown. Antrassian rallied back to cut the deficit to 6-5 at the end of the second period. Nolan escaped to begin the third, and held on to prevail.

The Bearcats finished the season with three NCAA qualifiers and two wins in Tulsa. Nolan finished his season 22-9, Cassella finished his season 20-8, and Day finished his season 18-12.
