The high school championship wrestling bouts will be started
to-night at the Madison High School gymnasium to determine the
champions in the various classes for the Rochester high schools.
East, West and Charlotte High have sent word that they will be
represented. Shop School will also be in the meet. It is planned to
run the preliminary bouts Wednesday night with the semi-finals
following on Thursday.
The schools are hoped to be well represented judging from the entry
blanks that have been handed to the school athletic officials. There
is a strong possibility that Koch, of East High, and Pete
Bartholomeo, of Shop School, will meet in the final battle of the
heavyweight class.
The West siders will be out in full force in an effort to cop some
of the honors for the Orange and Black. Coach Hoff of Shop School
has just about decided to enter his entire team. The class of the
Charlotte entries is unknown, but the Lake Siders have promised to
spring a few surprises. Fred Weismuller of the Central Y.M.C.A. will
referee.
