ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

The Tech High matmen scored a victory over the West High grappers last night at Monroe Junior High, 24 to 20. The meet was closely contested, both teams winning four matches. The Tech men won three matches by falls and was awarded one forfeit as Coach Emil Hulek did not have a wrestler to put in the 125-pound class. The Westsiders won just as many matches as the Tech men but two of the victories of the Orange and Black grapplers came by means of judge's decisions and did not count as much in the scoring.

A large crowd witnessed the bouts and were well pleased at the showing of the high school grapplers. Some real interesting bouts were staged. Vallone and Bell wrestled fifteen minutes in the curtain raiser before the judge's were able to make a decision. They finally decided in favor of the West High man. Chaffrey, Tech entrant in the 118-pound class showed considerable skill in winning over Magro. Both Bradbury, star of the Tech team, who has won twenty-one consecutive matches, was forced to remain idle as there was no man to meet him.

Captain Johnny Kress, of Tech, and Sandholzer, put on a thrilling match in the 155-pound class. The match was fast for the time it lasted, both men showing some clever wrestling. Kress finally pinned his man with an arm scissors and arm lock.

The Tech High wrestling team pulled a surprise last night by scoring an easy victory over East High, 30 to 10. This puts the Tech team in a tie with the Orientals, the Eastsiders winning the first match between the two tams by a narrow margin. McKay's team was minus two if its best men, Shapiro and Freckleton, but this difference would not have been enough to make the meet even close. The Tech grapplers showed much improvement over their previous engagements and are now favorites to cop the city title.

Tech started the scoring when Bell threw Brucker in the 105-pound class. These two youngters, who are wrestling for their first season, put up an interesting match but the Tech man showed more mat skill in winning a fall. Tech took the first five matches on the program and the large delegation of Tech supporters was cheering for a clean sweep. Newcomb continued the scoring for Tech by throwing Reitkopf, a substitute who was taking Shapiro's place, in the fast time of 1 minute 28 seconds.

Jimmy Chaffrey added four more points to the Tech total by gaining a decision over Benz, one of the best men on the East High team. After nine minutes of wrestling the judges were unable to make a decision and the two were forced to wrestle two five-minute overtime periods.

In the next match Bob Bradbury won his twenty-second consecutive victory by getting a decision on Davidson. For a time at the start Davidson had the best of the argument but Bradbury was showing his beat at the finish and he was awarded the decision. Feary won his first match  for the Tech team by getting the decision over Emmanuel after nine minutes. This brought the total points for Tech up to twenty-four before the Eastsiders scored a single win. McKay broke the ice in the 145 pound class when he was awarded the decision over Wilson, a new man on the Tech team.

Johnny Kress, captain of Tech, finished the scoring for the Joseph avenue boys by throwing Woodley. Okuniewicz scored six points for East in the heavyweight class by throwing Bellor.
