ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Many entries have been received and more are expected today for the interscholastic wrestling tournament which will get under way this afternoon at Madison Junior High. The first match is scheduled at 4 o'clock and, unless many of the matches are decided by falls before the time is up, the preliminaries will extend into the evening. About ten men are expected to wrestle in each class, two from each school. There is no limit to the entries and some schools may enter more than two in some of the classes. If this is the case it will be necessary for the finalists to wrestle two or three times in one night in order to qualify as only two men will be picked from each class.

The matches tomorrow will start at 8 o'clock at Madison Junior High School. The wrestlers will perform under the same conditions as in the meets during the year, wrestling nine minutes before allowing the judge's to pick the winner in case neither obtains a fall. West, East and Tech are expected to make the best showing in the tourney because of their performances in the league. West will enter some good men who have not wrestled on the regular team. Frank Shantz, who was a member of the West High team last year but who did not wrestle this year, will try for honors in the 125-pound class. This class will show some good men. Both Bradbury, of Tech and Davison, of East, are good men and it will be a battle to decide the winner.

West Increases Entries.

Bishop, another West High man who was on the team last year and who was ineligible this year will wrestle also in the heavyweight class. This class has been weak this year, no good man being uncovered throughout the season. In the 105-pound class Martin, of Kodak, Vallone, of West, and Bricker, of East, are the best men and all three should make a strong bid for the championship. Newcomb, of Tech, and Shapiro, of East, are expected to fight it out for honors in the 112-pound class. Chaffrey, of Tech, and Benz, of East, are the outstanding stars in the 118-pound class.

In the 135-pound class Krank, of West, and Feary, of Tech, seem to have the edge over the other men. Knight, of West, and Miller, of Kodak, are the best performers in the 145-pound class. In the 155-pound class Kress, of Tech, Hooker, of West, and
Okuniewicz, of East, all look good, the former being favored to win. All the entrants in the heavyweight class seem to be evenly matched and the outcome of this match is likely to be a surprise.
