ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Little progress was made in the preliminary matches of the scholastic wrestling
tournament yesterday afternoon at the Central "Y" because of the great number of
entries in all classes. Over forty athletes from the local high schools turned
out to compete for individual honor and wrestlers in some of the classes were
forced to wait until to-day for their first matches, because of the limited
period of time allowed in the gym.
This afternoon the semi-finals of the tournament will be held at the "Y" and
previous to this the heavyweight, 126 and 145-pound grapplers will have their
preliminary matches. On Thursday the finals will be held and winners of the
first and second places in each class will be given medals.
A large number of contestants for the 105-pound class honors were on hand
yesterday and it was necessary to promote five matches in this division alone.
The 135-pound class also provided plenty of wrestlers and another process of
elimination will be necessary in this division this afternoon before the two
finalists can be selected.
