ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Tech High's wrestling team, with five preliminary winners in addition to twelve
members of the squad who had byes to enter the semi-finals to-day, jumped into a
lead in the individual scholastic mat title quest yesterday afternoon at Tech
High. East High followed with four qualifiers, while Monroe had two winners and
West High one. Monroe drew one bye in the first round and East High placed two,
Charlotte one, and West High nine, without a preliminary struggle.
The meet was featured by two upsets. Dentico, of East High, who won all his meet
bouts in easy style, was eliminated by Stendardo, of Tech. Dentico, after a
minute of fast going, did not seem to have his old strength and Stendardo tossed
him to the mat to gain a fall.
In the other surprise Kelly, of Charlotte, another who found no trouble in
throwing his opponents in early meets, was beaten by Rosenthal, of Monroe. The
bout lasted for four extra periods before a decision could be given. During the
regular time, both were even with neither being able to floor the other.
Felli, West, a big favorite to win his class championship, for the first time
tossed Moore, East, in three minutes. As in the preceding matches of the season,
Felli won by his speed and experience. While the match lasted, it was full of
action with Moore extending Felli to the limit.
