ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Winning seven of the nine classes, Tech High's wrestlers carried off the lion's
share of championships at the city public high school individual wrestling meet
last night at Tech High. East High won the one crown while the other went to
Monroe High.
The Tech wrestlers showed the same style that they have displayed all through
the meet and they won easily. In five of the nine wins, Tech had two men entered
in the finals. In two matches in which Tech men faced an opponent from West
High, the bouts went an extra period.
In the five bouts in which the Tech men faced each other, the going was fast.
There were no team honors in these matches and the men of Huff went out to score
a fall. This resulted in four of the quintet of matches.
Stendaro and Urbanic, both of Tech, opened the meet. The 105-pound boys showed
some fast wrestling before Stendaro pinned his man to the floor after 6 minutes,
25 seconds.
Rosenthal Has Battle
Golamb and Denninger, two more Tech men, gave another good exhibition in the
112-pound class. Golamb held a slight edge over Denninger and was on top most of
the time. Shortly before the time limit was reached Golamb obtained a fall.
Two directly different style of wrestlers faced each other when Robinson and
Ebner, both of Tech, tangled in the 118-pound class. Robinson, short and stocky,
had a tough time throwing Ebner, a tall rangy youth. After two minutes and
forty-six seconds of wrestling, Robinson picked up Ebner and touched his
shoulders to the mat.
Rosenthal, Monroe, did not have the easy time expected against Margolis, of
East. Margolis proved to be a tough nut for the stocky Monroe lad to handle.
Twice Margolis gained his feet after being nearly pinned but lost a judge's
decision.
Houghtling, of East, won handily over Schmidt, of West, in an extra period bout
in the 147-pound class.
