ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Sixty-seven high
school athletes competed in the annual interscholastic wrestling
tournament yesterday afternoon at Tech High. Preliminaries in five
classes and semi-finals in the other four divisions are scheduled for
this afternoon at 3:15 o'clock at Tech. Two matches on different mats
were fought at one time yesterday. Because of the large number of
entries, all the preliminaries could not be run off. Intercollegiate
rules were followed.
Favorites came through in most of the matches. The two upsets were
furnished by East High men, Russo gaining a decision over Reynolds of
Tech, the favorite in the 126-pound class; and Aceto, getting the
advantage over Bedford, Monroe regular, in a 135-pound match. The best
tilts were put on by "Red" Kelley, of Charlotte, and Joss, Monroe, in
the 126-pound class, and Spronza, Shop, and Cole, West, in the 135-pound
class.
A good battle is looked for between Shapiro, Oriental, and Kearns,
Occidental, in the light-weight section today. Two strong battles are
expected in the semi-finals of the 112-pound group. Dentico and Serafine,
both of East, will be the major attraction in the 118-pound division.
"Red" Kelley, Charlotte, will be tested when he encounters E. Brooks, of
West, in a 126-pound battle. Hanson, Monroe 175-pounder, and DePrez,
Tech heavy-weight, will meet in the rubber of their Interscholastic
League bouts.
