ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Coach Hoff's Tech High wrestlers dominated the semi-finals of the
Interscholastic Wrestling Tournament held yesterday afternoon at Tech. Nine of a
possible 18 Tech men won their way to the finals to be held next Thursday
evening at Monroe High. Three of the finals will be all-Tech and Shopmen will
show in three other championship tilts. Besides the semi-finals, preliminaries
were run off in three classes, as there was not enough time for the Monday.
Semi-finals and finals in the 105-pound division will take place next Thursday.
Shapiro of East, and Kearns of West, battled to a draw after six extra periods,
and the semi-final Robinson, Tech, Gervasi, East, tilt was postponed. East has
four men slated for the finals, Charlotte has two, West will have one
representative.
The 119-126-pound group furnished the most thrills. A. Margolis, Oriental,
provided an upset when he copped a decision from R. Brooks, Occidental, who
defeated Margolis in their only encounter last week. "Red" Kelley, Charlotte
captain, had a tough time beating A. Russo, surprise East man.
F. Reddy, Tech man, provided the other upset of the day when he took a close
bout from a. Lapi, undefeated Oriental, in the 147-160-pound class. One of the
hardest-fought matches in the tourney was the tilt between L. Roberts, Charlotte
star, and C. Giancurso, Tech strong-man, in the 135-147-pound class. Roberts won
with a slim time advantage. Caccamise, East, surprised when he forced Stendardo,
scrappy shop man, to the limit in the 105-112-pound division.
