ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Edison Tech, undefeated league champion,
gained four titles in the Interscholastic wrestling tournament finals at
Edison Tech yesterday afternoon. West garnered three crowns while Monroe
and East each won one.
Tech's titlists
are Stanley Chelchowski in the
105-pound class, John Alaimo,
125-pound, John Houseman
165-pound and Ed Goodberlet
175-pound.
Harold Nash won
the 115-pound class; Herbert Stellwagen,
135-pound, and Lloyd Curtice,
145-pound for West. Sam Ange
captured the 155-pound for East and Lou Baxter
the unlimited class for Monroe.
Four of the nine
title bouts were forced into overtime before a winner was determined,
Chelchowski was extended before overcoming East's DeGuiseppe
in an extra time limit.
Nash registered an
upset win over Harry Davis of
Jefferson, while Alaimo's pinning of Ralph Marianetti
of Jefferson in 1:28 was the briefest bout of the afternoon.
