ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Charlotte and West
stole the limelight from Edison's city-league wrestling champions as
they each captured two of the eight sectional grappling crowns staged at
John Marshall last night.
The three
remaining title bouts in "A" will be held tonight in conjunction with
the finals in Class B. The "B" eliminations are scheduled to be run off
at 11:30 o'clock this morning with the finals in both classes at 7:30
o'clock.
Charlotte's two
triumphs were registered by Halpin
and Holley in the 138 and 145-lb.
classes and West's titles were annexed by Gunther
and Nash in the 112 and 120-lb.
classes, respectively.
Edison's only
title was won by Paul Thomann in
the 165-lb. event when Sam Mistretta
of Jeff injured his shoulder and defaulted. Ange
of East outpointed Bour of Tech in
the 154-lb. affair; Thomas of
Madison scored one of the two falls of the night when he pinned
Fitzmorris of tech in the 103-lb. class,
and Cardillo of Marshall
outpointed Malone of East in the
127 for the other championships.
The three
semifinal matches saw Rutan of Tech pin Burgio of Jeff in the 133-lb.
class. Leonardo of Jeff outpointed Houseman of Tech in the 175 and
Baxter of Monroe best
Goodberlet of Tech in the unlimited
class.
A trio of Geneva
High grapplers will vie for "A" honors today. Baroody
