ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Fighting off a sustained challenge from Albion High, Coach George Messinger's
Oakfield-Alabama Central School wrestlers won their third consecutive
Genesee-Orleans wrestling championship on the Oakfield mats Saturday night.
The Oaks shaded Albion by a 67-66 margin while Holley grabbed off third place
with 18 points, Lyndonville was fourth with 13 and Alden, fifth with 8 counters.
Biggest upset of the tournament came when Dick Canham, Albion heavyweight,
pinned Roger McGee of Oakfield, the 1951 sectional champion; who has lost only
one match in his last 35 starts. In the final matches, Albion captured six
triumphs while Oakfield-Alabama won five and Holley took one victory.
At the close of the bouts, individual medals were presented to the winners in
each weight class by Coach Messinger. The winners will represent the league in
the Section 5 tourney in Rochester on Saturday. Edmond Canne, Batavia sportsman,
sponsored a league championship trophy, which he presented to Tillman Meney,
Oakfield-Alabama's team captain.
