ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

An even dozen city
high school grapplers were crowned mat kings in their respective weight
divisions last night in the finals of the Interscholastic Individual
Wrestling Championships at Marshall High School.
In the feature
event Ray Roy of Charlotte
decisioned Pat Manioci of Franklin
in the 138-pound class. Both were champs in their respective class last
year, Roy in the 127-pound and Manioci in the 133-pound. They met on an
even basis last night with Roy edging Manioci eight points to five. It
was the first loss for Manioci in 25 matches.
The first event of
the evening, the 95-pound match between Jay Napier
of Charlotte and Carmen Tabane of
East, ended in a 3-3 tie. The decision was awarded by the referee to
Napier on the basis of better skill in wrestling.
Charlotte captured
the tournament's team championship totaling 43-1/2 points. Madison was
second with 32-1/2.
