ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Gene Costa of
Jefferson High School scored the top upset in the Individual
Interscholastic Wrestling Championships last night, pinning Alex
Ferguson of Charlotte at RIT's
Ritter-Clark Gym.
The Charlotte
matman was pinned in 5:27 in the unlimited class on the card that saw
only four of the nine wrestlers from East, city champs, win. Only
Don Storace, Jim Diegel,
Don Palermo and Bill Noun
of the Orientals could produce victories.
In other
outstanding matches on the card, Ben Miles
of Marshall decisioned Carmella Tabone
of East, and Moses Gilbert of
Madison decisioned James Fardette
of Charlotte.
Winners of last
night's matches earned the right to meet the Monroe County champs in a
meet Wednesday at RIT. Winners of that competition will enter the
Section 5 Tournament at Brockport on Saturday.
