ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Eight Interscholastic League wrestlers won championships in the Section 5 Class A tournament last night at Rochester Institute of Technology's Ritter-Clark gym. Competition was in 12 weight classes.

Charlotte and Marshall each had three titlists. Winning for Charlotte were Harry Leary in the 103-pound class, Bill Sile at 127, and Jim Fardette at 138. For Marshall, the champions were Bob Alman at 120 pounds, Ben Miles at 133, and Don Haefle at 165.

The other winners from the Interscholastic League were Pete Tabone of East at 112 pounds and Frank Bianchi of Monroe at 145.

Miles had the easiest time. He won by default when Gary Tardella of Mynderse Academy was unable to wrestle because of a shoulder injury.

Webster came up with a champion in the unlimited division as Ernest Tack outpointed Larry Pelligrino of East, 3-2.

Referees for the finals were Earl Fuller, Bob Baker and Ed Green. Mike Spierdowis was chairman of the event, which was witnessed by an estimated 350 spectators.
