ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

One Section 5 champion and another former Interscholastic League champ were eliminated as the annual loop's wrestling tournament moved through the semifinal rounds last night at Madison High School.

Frank Friscano of Jeff beat Bill Protz in the 120-pound class, moving last year's 112-pound kingpin from East out of the running.

At 154-pounds, Neil Rivaldo of Madison eliminated the defending city champion and Section 5 champion John Billone of Jeff.

Both the 95 and heavyweight finals will be all-Madison affairs this evening. Don Powers will take on Frank Lauricella in the light-weight match and Greenard Poles meets Tony Rossi at the other end of the scale, the unlimited class.

Frank Ferra and Willie Williams of Madison scored the only semifinal wins by pins, Ferra beating Joe Bovenzi in 1:41 and Williams holding John Barber of West for the count in 5:55.
