articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

AVON ― Cardinal Mooney High posted 84 points to win the first annual Avon
Wrestling Tournament last night.
Waterloo finished second with 67 points, followed by Penfield with 55½, St.
Mary's of Lancaster and Avon with 47½, Perry 27½, Alexander 18 and Honeoye
Falls-Lima with six.
Mike Close of Avon was named the outstanding wrestler of the tournament. Close,
now 10-0 this season, won by an 8-0 decision in the 114-pound class finals. He
previously won the Penfield Tournament's 114-pound title.
John Marino of Waterloo scored the fastest pin of the finals. He pinned Brian
Donnelly of Cardinal Mooney at 34 seconds in the heavyweight match.
Cardinal Mooney had two individual winners, John Booth in the 140-pound class
and Dave Kucy in the 147-pound division.
