We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Eastridge Wins Wrestling Title

Eastridge High School posted 87 points to win the seventh annual Webster
Wrestling Tournament last night at R. L. Thomas High School.
Webster was second with 73 points, followed by East High with 61½, East
Rochester 55½, Greece Arcadia 33, Geneva 31, Penn Yan 27 and Guilderland of
Albany with 18.
Eastridge had five of the 12 individual winners. Dave Polsinelli won in the
119-pound class, brother Jim in the 125-pound class, Jim Prince at 132, Rick
Lembo at 138 and Rick Freeman at 145 pounds.
Webster's Tom Van Hall won the outstanding wrestler award. He won in the
167-pound class scoring a decision over Bill Schick of East Rochester. He was
Webster's only individual champion.
East High had two winners in Craig Dade (112) and Craig Reed (155).
East Rochester's winners were Chris Bourne (105) and Rich McPhee (177). East
Rochester was defending team champion.
All of the final matches were won by decision.
