ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

The seedings ran true
for the most part yesterday in the Section 5 Class AAA qualifiers at Hilton and
Rush-Henrietta as hundreds of wrestlers were reduced to the top eight
competitors for each weight class.
There were no notable upsets but several quick pins marked the competition. The
quickest was a 38-second pin by defending champion Ken Rohlfing of
Rush-Henrietta, who beat Irondequoit's Scott Layman in the 108-pound class in
the Southwest qualifier at R-H.
Mike Hendrix of East was only seven seconds slower. He pinned Bob Ely of Corning
West at :45 in the 101-pound class.
Top-seeded Steve Olesiuk (141 pounds) received all he could handle before edging
unseeded Kevin Bader of McQuaid, 8-7.
In the Northwest qualifier at Hilton, defending state champion Frank DeAngelis
of Spencerport, recovering from a knee injury, pinned Brom Binachi of
Gates-Chili at 4:26 in the 138-pound class.
Tom Goole of Greece Olympia (129 pounds) pinned Tom Hill of Madison in 42
seconds.
Five more wrestlers in each class will be determined tomorrow at Rush-Henrietta
with the top three reaching the Section 5 championships at the Community War
Memorial at March 1.
