ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Pembroke has just one individual varsity champion, but the Dragons roared
loudest in team competition Saturday night in the finals of the annual Genesee
Region Wrestling Tournament at Byron-Bergen.
In what was expected to be a close battle, Pembroke edged Kendall 120-119 to win
the overall championship.
Byron-Bergen was third with 110½ points following by defending champion Attica
101½, Pavilion 78½, Elba 74, Alexander 42, Holley 34, Notre Dame 33, Barker 2½.
The State School for the Blind also competed in the two-day, varsity and junior
varsity event.
Coach Bill Jacoutot's Dragons, who went undefeated through the GR regular
season, came away with the first-place trophy due to their overall strength.
Randy Dibble at 158 pounds knocked off last year's most valuable player, Joe
Leitten from Pavilion, 6-4, to earn Pembroke's only individual title bout. Al
Baker 115, Scott Humel 129, Pete Grodem 180, and Al Caci 148 also made it to the
finals and picked up valuable team points.
