articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

The 2005-2006 Season was a banner year for the Wolverine Matmen. Although the
Grapplers fell short of their ultimate goal of winning Sectionals it was an
extremely successful season.
Given the fact that the only team to defeat the Matmen was one of the States
better programs, who had been dropped down to the Wolverine's class - Letchworth,
the BRCS Wrestlers have nothing to be ashamed of. A look at the year will show
that the Wolverines had their best overall finish in tournaments placing in the
top three of all the tournaments they wrestled in (save the big school W.P.
tournament).
The Matmen placed 2nd in three of their tournaments, 3rd in two of their
tournaments, and brought home their first ever championship from the Salamanca
tournament. The season also saw a school second best ever for number of
wrestlers to make the finals of Sectionals (6) and the number of individual
Sectional Championships (3). Morever, the Wolverines tied the team record for
number of wrestlers achieving 20 wins and those achieving 30 wins in one season.
Dennis Adams set a school record for highest percentage of wins via pin. The
season also saw Andrew Taylor and Matt Appleby add their names to the
prestigious "Century Club" For the second year in a row BRCS had one of the two
MOW at the Sectional Tournament.
All in all it was a very successful season. The team finished 9-1 in Dual Meets,
Brought home its 5th straight Expressway Conference Title, finished fourth in a
very good class of schools in the Big 30, and finished second in the Sectional
Tournament to powerhouse Letchworth. (SOURCE:

CANISTEO — It had been quite awhile since the Bolivar-Richburg
Central School wrestling team last dropped a dual match.
Fifteen matches to be exact.
That streak came to end Tuesday as the Wolverines fell to
Canisteo-Greenwood, 30-28, in a non-league matchup.
“lt’s kind of a downer,” said coach Rich Schubmehl.
Justin Cowell, Andrew Taylor, Dennis Adams, Derrick Dorvit and Nick
Covert each scored victories for B-R (1-1), while Matt Appleby won
in a forfeit.
Cowell (112 pounds), Dorvit (171) and Covert (215) won decisions and
Taylor (130) and Adams (145) earned pins.
Winning for C-G were Chris Rauber (pin at 119 pounds), Brandon Mills
(pin at 125), Joe Rinaldi (decision at 135), Craig Amidon (decision
at 160) and Nick Clark (pin at 189).
“Honestly,” said Schubmehl, “Canisteo-Greewnood was little bit more
hungry than we were. We were flat.”
